Captain FREDERICK COURTNEY SELOUS, D.S.O.

This statue of Frederick Courtney Selous, with his four-bore black powder muzzle loader, was commissioned to celebrate the Carnivore Johannesburg’s 20th anniversary (1993 – 2013)

The artist, ADAM MADEBE, has again stamped his mastery of his art on this wonderful sculpture. Selous, the mighty hunter and conservationist, has earned his place in African history.

This statue has been named “The Nimrod of southern Africa”.
